Last year we ran our first ever Kaido Staff Wellbeing Challenge, and hundreds of you took part to support your own wellbeing, and the wellbeing of your colleagues. This year, we’re encouraging you to take part again and sign up for the Seven Natural Wonders Challenge, in teams of between two and ten members of staff.

The challenge can also be completed on an individual basis if you wish to benefit from the activities but do not wish to enter the competition.

The challenge will help you explore wellbeing concepts such as mental health, nutrition and sleep in a fun, engaging and social way. Each day of the challenge, introduce you to a new health and wellbeing concept or idea, alongside a series of short activities. These daily activities take up to 15 minutes so as to not impact upon your day and are accessible everywhere via computer or smartphone by downloading the Kaido app on Google Play or the App Store. The more tasks you complete, the more points you get and each team member can contribute to their teams total in four different ways:

  1. Logging activities - you can record physical activity tracked through a smart device like a smartphone or through a wearable. You can also enter activities manually into the Kaido website.
  2. Writing reflections - The challenge is underpinned by known theories of behavioural psychology that support you to make small, manageable changes to your lifestyle. Each day you will be encouraged to think about the concepts introduced by writing a short daily reflection.
  3. Completing wellness tasks - Each new day of the challenge, you will be sent up to three Wellness Tasks based on the theme for the challenge and the topic of the day.
  4. Team boosters - Team Boosters are opportunities for you and your team to earn bonus points. Team Boosters promote health and wellbeing tasks that employees can complete together during the working day.

When your team hits a certain points target, based on the number of people in the team, you unlock milestones and are entered into prize draws. The team that reaches the final milestone first is the winner. We will also be giving prizes for every team that completes the challenge.

To take part all you need to do is register on the Kaido website where you will have the opportunity to form your teams with other colleagues.

If you have any questions or require support in getting setup for the challenge, you can contact the Workplace Wellbeing team. Further information will also be available on our Wellbeing Directory.
