Dr Elena Sherstoboeva works at the intersection of media law, creative industries and emerging technologies, with a particular focus on the legal regulation of the human voice, performers’ rights and AI-mediated creative labour. Her research examines how voice is governed, protected and commercialised in digital and AI-driven environments, and how legal frameworks respond to the increasing use of synthetic and cloned voices across creative sectors.
