Profile

Biography

I am a Lecturer or Assistant Professor of Accounting and Finance with an interest in Mergers and acquisitions (M&As). I earned Ph.D. from the University of Minho in January 2022. My research is broadly interdisciplinary and aligns with two main research themes, namely; (1) corporate finance, and (2) accounting. I have research interests in corporate finance, corporate governance, Mergers and Acquisitions (M&As), and earnings management. I have recently published papers in renowned ABS-3 level outlets including the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions, and Money, International Review of Financial Analysis, and Journal of Business Research. I like to work with research teams and collaborate with other researchers to publish papers in high-quality internationally-rated (ABS 3 or 4) Finance and accounting journals. I am also active in participating and presenting work at international conferences and recently, in 2021, presented my papers at the European Financial Management Association (EFMA) and Portuguese Finance Network (PFN). I am the winner of Executive Dean Funding (University of Essex) of 2023 and merit scholarships (University of Punjab).
