Biography
I support students to gain valuable employability skills and to make a successful transition into life after university. This involves designing and delivering career development learning in the curriculum (across the Faculty of Science and Health), developing employability boosting activities, collaboration with employers, alumni and industry professionals, and working with a range of colleagues across departments and the wider university. I also meet students and graduates 1-2-1 to offer advice and guidance on topics such as career options and decisions, further study, job hunting and securing all types of work. If you have any queries or would like some help with your next steps, feel free to get in touch! I've been at Essex for over 10 years now, working initially on placements and work-based learning opportunities for students. I made the leap into higher education after working for training providers where I helped to improve the career prospects of people searching for work in the region.
