Biography

Teerasan is a PhD student in the Department of Government at the University of Essex. His research interests centre on right-wing populism and anti-environmentalism. He holds two master's degrees with distinction: one in Diplomacy and Global Politics from the University of Westminster, where his dissertation examined the strategic roles of Nordic small states; Norway, Denmark, and Iceland; in Arctic geopolitics; and another in Political Science and Quantitative Methods from the University of Essex, focusing on greenwashing practices among fossil-fuel producers and the influence of democratic institutions on their carbon-intensive industries. Prior to his postgraduate studies, Teerasan contributed to a research project under Chiang Mai University's Life Long Education initiative in Thailand and worked as a screenwriter for an inclusivity-focused documentary in Chiang Mai

How do anti-environmental positions diffuse across right-wing populist parties?

The paper investigates how anti-environmental positions diffuse across right-wing populist parties (RWPPs), arguing that climate scepticism and resistance to environmental regulation spread through conditional, ideological selective learning.
