Profile
Biography
I joined Essex Business School in 2017, after previously working as a researcher at Lancaster Environment Centre and many years working in the Environmental Non-Governmental Organisation sector. My research work focuses on green industries and employment, the transition to a low carbon economy, contemporary issues in sustainability, the social economy and the commons. I am currently undertaking research collaborations on green industrial development and employment in Britain, climate displacement and migration in Europe and the UK, and contemporary social economy practices. My teaching is focused on contemporary issues in sustainability, political economy, innovation, operations management, and the social economy and alternative approaches to organisations including the commons. I am a member of the Centre for Commons Organising, Values Equalities and Resilience, and a number of external commons-focused projects including The Institute for Commons.
