Yes! The listed prices already include energy and water bills, contents insurance, and internet access.

Are the rooms furnished?

All rooms in University of Essex accommodation are furnished with essential items such as a bed, desk, chair, and a wardrobe.

How long is the contract?

The typical Undergraduate contract is 39 weeks, however some courses start earlier or finish later. For Postgraduate courses, the main contract is 50 weeks. 44-week contracts are available in the University Quays and the Meadows en suites only.

Can I stay all three years?

Yes. You are guaranteed an accommodation as a returner by re-applying for the next academic year.

Is Wi-Fi included?

Yes, Wi-Fi is included in all our accommodation.

Can I bring a car?

Parking is currently only available for those staying in The Copse and South Courts, and available on a limited basis.

Is accommodation available for postgraduate students?

Absolutely. Accommodation for Postgraduate students are available in the North Towers, The Meadows En suite, and University Quays.
