Are you curious about where your degree can take you? Trying to plan your career after graduation?

Come and join the EBS Alumni Talk scheduled for Nov 04, 2026, 3.00 – 4.00 pm, over Zoom, with our esteemed alumnus, Nima Zarrabi, for a candid conversation on his life, passion, and achievements after university, and to gain practical insights and motivation about life and career through his experiences.

Success isn’t always a straight line, but careful planning and learning through lived experiences can certainly help. As part of our continuous effort to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional reality, Essex Business School (EBS) has launched a termly Talk Series by EBS Alumni.

Every term, we will invite one of our successful alumni from a prestigious field to share their transition from student life to an industry professional, elucidate the real-world skills that make people stand out, discuss the ups and downs of their professional life, talk about setbacks and resilience, and, most importantly, offer the advice they wish they had heard as a student. The objective is to collectively learn through life experiences and inspirational stories of our alumni, and to provide our students a chance to gain realistic career insights, purpose-oriented motivation, and networking opportunities beyond a standard classroom setting.

While the primary target audience are the current students, it will be appreciated if staff can join too, as that will help strengthen our alumni relations, encourage current students, and provide a good opportunity for the staff to stay updated with current industry practices and learn through meaningful engagement with our alumni.

Format: 30-minute talk followed by a 30-minute open Q&A session.
