Biography

Dr Rahmat is a Lecturer at the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering, University of Essex. He previously worked as a Research & Development Associate with the Faculty of Computing, Engineering and Science, University of South Wales, U.K. Rahmat received his Master’s in Software Engineering from COMSATS University, Islamabad, Pakistan, and his PhD from the School of Engineering, University of Edinburgh, U.K. During his PhD, his research focused on data-driven solutions for detecting neurodegenerative disease, and he worked closely with the Centre for the Clinical Brain Sciences University of Edinburgh. Rahmat is an Associate fellow of Higher Education Academy UK and has won a gold medal in his bachelor of Information Technology degree. Dr Rahmat has a strong background in software engineering, data, and signal processing. He is mainly interested in health data and digital health. His work has been recognized, published in several high-impact journals, and presented at international conferences. He is also reviewing for multiple journals, including IEEE Trans. Of Computational Imaging, IEEE Access, IEEE Internet of Things, IEEE Sensors and Biomedical Signal Processing and Control.
