Thesis

The impact of an increase of session frequency on the reconstruction of personal and archetypal myths that may be destructive that have evolved in response to complex developmental trauma and how these might be unconsciously dethroned through the Jungian analytic relationship?.

I aim to explore the contribution that an increase in session frequency makes towards change in a patient’s psyche, and specifically how it might influence the relationship the patient has with unconscious myths that have roots in their experience of trauma. I propose that frequency change reconstructs internal narratives, and that attributing this to the increased capacity within which the analytic relationship can more readily access unconscious material and therefore create more opportunity f
