Profile
Biography
I am a PhD student with the Essex Babylab, investigating how infants interact with screen-based educational media. To do this, I use neuroimaging techniques such as electroencephalography (EEG) and functional near-infrared spectroscopy (fNIRS), alongside behavioural measures. More broadly, I am interested in how early environments and relationships shape the way children learn and connect with others. This includes social cognition, parentchild interaction, and how early experiences influence developmental trajectories. I hope my research will inform evidence-based guidelines for parents and educators, and support the design of digital media that benefit child development. My research is funded by the Economic and Social Research Council (ESRC) through the SENSS-CAM Doctoral Training Partnership, in collaboration with the InfantLab at Goldsmiths, University of London, and the Cambridge BabyLab at the University of Cambridge.
