Profile

Biography

I am a psychoanalytic psychotherapist in private practice in London, registered with the British Psychoanalytic Council. I trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy at the British Psychotherapy Foundation, and prior to that at Birkbeck (University of London) where I completed an MSc in psychodynamic counselling and psychotherapy. I teach at the BPF, and in other contexts. I also work as a supervisor for psychodynamic trainees and therapists.

Wilfred Bion

My research focuses on Bionian concepts such as container-contained, verbal thought, binocular thinking, negative capability, and the capacity to listen from different 'vertices' of orientation and emotional experiencing.

Building on from Freud, I have an interest in the developments of Object Relations theory.
