Dr Parasto Azizinezhad

Biography

Dr. Parastoo Azizinezhad is a Senior Research Officer at the University of Essex. Her research interests lie in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Machine Learning, with a focus on developing intelligent systems that monitor and respond to human states like fatigue and cognitive load. She is currently focused on using ocular metrics and neurophysiological signals to create AI-driven models designed for safety-critical, real-world environments. Her academic background is rooted in Robotics, having earned a BSc in Robotics Engineering followed by an MSc in Intelligent Systems and Robotics and a PhD in Computing and Electronic Systems from the University of Essex. Her doctoral research focused on the development of adaptive, gaze-controlled robotic systems and human-machine interfaces.
