For the third year running the University of Essex is ranked amongst the top 300 universities in the latest Times Higher Education World University Rankings.

The rankings once again underline our international outlook and research strengths. We are 21st for international outlook due to the diversity of our student and academic community plus international partnerships.

We’re also once again in the top 300 for research seeing our performance increase across publications per staff, the ratio of research income to academic staff, citations and research reputation.

Deputy Vice-Chancellor Professor Lorna Fox O’Mahony said: “We’re delighted to once again be ranked in the top 300 of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings. Our global community is incredibly important to us so we’re really pleased to see Essex ranked again as one of the top 300 Universities in the world, and 21st for international outlook.

"Our performance in the THE world ranking research metrics also shows we continue to live up to our ambition to deliver globally important research which benefits communities and influences ideas across the world.”

Essex is ranked in the 251-300 bracket of the Times Higher Education World University Rankings.
