As part of Professor Geoffrey Wood’s visit to EBS, we are hosting an informal and interactive conversation about developing research and navigating different aspects of academic research and careers.

The session is intended primarily for Early Career Researchers (ECRs). Supervisors are also very welcome to forward the invitation to final-year PhD students who may be interested.

Please feel free to bring along questions, research challenges or issues you are currently encountering for discussion with Geoff and the group.

Speaker

Professor Geoffrey Wood is Professor and DanCap Endowed Chair in Private Equity, and Department Chair DAN Management at Western University in Canada. Previously, he served as Dean and Professor of International Business, at Essex Business School and before then as Professor of International Business at Warwick Business School, UK. He has authored/co-authored/edited eighteen books, and over two hundred and sixty articles in peer-reviewed journals.

Geoff's research interests centre on the relationship between institutional setting, corporate governance, firm finance, and firm level work and employment relations.
