The Centre for Commons Organising, Values Equalities and Resilience (COVER) welcomes Ana Minozzo from University of Essex as she explores a radical psychosocial survey of the status of anxiety.
This seminar draws on the work of Deleuze and Guattari alongside Lacan and Freud to offer a radical psychosocial survey of the status of anxiety. Taking a multidisciplinary approach, the book examines key issues in contemporary diagnosis and points towards possibilities for forging a more creative clinic. Departing from a feminist, non-Oedipal positioning towards psychoanalytic texts, the author invites art theory, medical humanities and philosophy into a conversation that seeks to answer the question: What can anxiety do?
This seminar will take place online on Wednesday 11 December 2024 at 4pm.
It is free to attend with no need to register in advance.
Ana C. Minozzo is a psychoanalyst and researcher based in London, UK. She is currently a Postdoctoral Researcher in Psychosocial Studies at the University of Essex where she is part of the FREEPSY collective research on the legacies of free psychoanalytic clinics.
