Join us for our Annual University of Essex Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies Postgraduate Research Conference
The Department of Psychosocial and Psychoanalytic Studies, University of Essex is pleased to announce the 2023 postgraduate research conference on the theme, Beyond the Borders of the Unknown. We are inviting proposals for papers from postgraduate research students from all disciplines, who would like to present on psychoanalytic or psychosocial ideas relating to this year’s theme.
The 2023 theme builds on our 2022 conference, Boundaries and Borders of the Unknown, and will, we hope, take us further into a discussion of what may emerge from the unknown – whether that in the psyche, the collective, or the containing environment. Within this theme we hope to represent a wide perspective of ideas, covering traditional analytic thinking along with more recent developments in the fields of psychoanalytic and psychosocial theory, considering a broad range of contexts, including clinical, academic, social, and wider therapeutic environments.

This is an in person event but it is also possible to attend via Zoom if you cannot attend in person. If you register to attend via Zoom the Zoom link will be emailed to you via Eventbrite 2 days before the event and again 2 hours before.
