Sponsored by the Bentley University Harold S. Geneen Institute for Corporate Governance
The International Corporate Governance Society (ICGS) will hold its 5th annual conference at Essex Business School, University of Essex, to discuss how effective corporate governance systems can prevent future financial crises.
The conference will bring together researchers investigating the role of banks, other financial firms and international businesses in corporate governance, including in emerging economies. It will provide a forum to reflect on the effectiveness of recent regulatory reforms, as well as the importance of business integrity and ethics in generating long-term, stable economic growth.
We would like to extend our thanks to our conference sponsor, Bentley University, Harold S. Geneen Institute of Corporate Governance.
The event will take a comparative and interdisciplinary approach to critical corporate governance topics and enable delegates to build connections with experts working in the area.
Essex Business School conducts high quality research into corporate governance issues from a range of perspectives, including the banking and financial sector, international business and emerging markets.
NEW! 5 May 2019 new deadline for submissions for special track on “Corporate Governance in extreme institutional environments” with opportunity to be considered for publication in a Special Issue of the British Journal of Management.
