Teaching time and course structure are determined by your course and module choice. Therefore, teaching time will vary throughout your degree. Classes are between 9:00 am and 6:00 pm from Monday to Friday. Modules will typically have two to four contact hours per week.
Need extra help with your mathematics or statistics skills? All students in the Department of Economics are welcome to join a voluntary support class. Classes run during term time. They support modules in microeconomics, macroeconomics, and econometrics. Students with an undergraduate degree in a different subject often find these classes incredibly useful.
We offer personalised support for postgraduate students undertaking dissertation research. Our drop-in laboratory sessions are by staff with specialised knowledge of data analysis and computer programming. These sessions are held during the summer term to help you take the pressure off and get ahead of the deadline.
