Module description

This module will draw upon learning and understanding from the module Understanding Self and Others, to enable students to apply, evaluate and analyse various approaches to developing themselves as professionals, and others such as service users and peers in a variety of contexts. This module will consider the opportunities and challenges of upcoming placement experiences, with a view to the ongoing development of the self, and others.

Module learning outcomes

1. Identify a broad range of factors that influence behaviour change
2. Identify and evaluate opportunities to promote physiotherapy engagement with a variety of communities
3. Evaluate a range of interpersonal interventions that can be utilised when working collaboratively with service users, peers and the interprofessional team.

Formative assessment Placement reflections may be submitted to personal tutor on completion of each placement, for formative feedback. A 500 word plan/draft of case study may be submitted.

  • In-person, open book: Your exam will take place on campus under invigilation. You may refer to any physical materials such as paper study notes or a textbook during the exam. Electronic devices may not be used in the exam.
