This module will allow students to develop holistic assessment skills for a range of patient presentations. The module will focus on the common approaches to physiotherapy led assessment, whilst highlighting and exploring the variations required when assessing different patient groups.
To develop holistic assessment skills for a range of patient presentations.
To facilitate the learning of common approaches to physiotherapy led assessment, whilst highlighting the variations required when assessing different patient groups.
On successful completion of this module, the student will be able to:
1. demonstrate an understanding of the approaches and components of ongoing physiotherapy led assessment;
2. demonstrate ability to undertake an appropriate safe, effective and holistic assessment of a patient;
3. demonstrate the use of effective communication skills with individuals;
4. demonstrate accurate note keeping which is congruent with legal and professional expectations.
