Email signatures

Email signatures

Our email signatures are kept clear and simple as their purpose is to clarify who the correspondence is from.

Find out how to update your email signature (.docx) with our latest templates.

All staff must use one of the approved templates, (either our standard templates (.docx) or our 60th email signatures – no other logos or promotional messaging are permitted.

  • Any amends to your email signature will be personalising your contact information only.
  • Personal pronouns may also be included in email signatures (optional). Find out how to use pronouns in your email signatures (.docx).
  • We only add University wide straplines or messages to our signatures and have a small number of partner logos that are approved for use. This ensures we collectively reinforce our ‘one University’ approach and brand messaging in a consistent way across our correspondence.
  • All emails are on a plain white background, in Arial, our default font for all Microsoft packages.

Our guidance on email signature is reviewed and any partner logos/messaging updated as required at the beginning of each academic year.
