Diversity support

Here are some practical tools and resources to help you during your time at Essex.

Report and Support

The University has a zero-tolerance approach to sexual violence, harassment, hate incidents and bullying. All employees, workers, contractors, students and visitors are expected to be treated, and to treat each other, with dignity and respect. All staff and students can report something anonymously or get support from an adviser.

Student Wellbeing and Inclusivity Service (SWIS)

The Student Wellbeing and Inclusivity Service provides free, confidential help and guidance for any concerns that you might have during your time at the University of Essex. They can advise and signpost you to the support available for mental and emotional health, disability support, academic concerns, financial worries, and accommodation issues.

At Essex we recognise the importance of having access to a variety of facilities, and we consolidate these into one place where you can find both gender neutral and accessible facilities on our campuses.
