The Essex Student Journal (previously ESTRO – Essex Student Research Online) is an online multi-disciplinary academic journal, run by and for University of Essex students. The journal is dedicated to the publication of high-quality undergraduate and postgraduate writing and is committed to creating accessible and engaging content for a non-specialist readership. The Essex Student Journal encourages and celebrates student research by offering a valuable early experience of academic publishing and the peer review process.
The Essex Student Journal is located in Library and Cultural Services, and the journal is hosted within its own website. You can also find more information about the Essex Student Journal on the Library website. If you have any questions please do get in touch via journal@essex.ac.uk. You can also keep up to date with all of the latest from the journal via Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn.
We accept submissions throughout the year, and articles are published online as soon as they are ready. Access to the journal is free, as we are a diamond open access journal. We accept submissions relating to any subject area studied within the University. For more information about submissions, please see our submission guidelines.
