"It's the amount of opportunities I take which will build my entire career from scratch."

My mum inspires me. She’s really into education and she likes helping other people to take. She inspired me throughout my childhood, and she is the reason why I want to do a PhD for forwarding my career.

I’ve recently been told that my research paper is going to be published, that has definitely made me more than smile this week! I’ve been working with my supervisor on this for around a year, and it makes me so happy to see my work being valued and published in a conference.

The amount of opportunities at Essex is great. I try and get involved with lots of things, from volunteering to jobs. It’s the amount of opportunities I take which will build my entire career from scratch.
