Print, copy and scan

1. Go to any computer on campus and log in.
2. When you're ready to print, choose Student Managed Print from the list of available printers (it should be the default printer) and print your document.
3. Now you can go to any of our multifunction printers on campus. You have 8 hours to collect your print, otherwise you will have to print it again.
4. Log in to the printer with your student card, select the document and print it. 

To print from a mobile device, such as your personal phone or laptop:

1. Using your Essex email account, open a new email and attach the documents you want to print. You must send the email from your Essex email account otherwise it won't work.
2. Send the email to mobileprinting@essex.ac.uk
3. Go to any of our multifunction printers on campus and log in.
4. Select the document and print it. You have 8 hours to collect your print, after that your document will disappear from the printer.

It's cheaper to print double-sided.

You'll receive £10 virtual print credit at the start of each academic year - this is not real money, just a virtual balance.

• You can request a top-up via MyEssex once every three months (you can find the link on the Education tab and IT support menu).
• If you require additional top-ups, please contact your personal tutor.
• You can't top-up using your own money.

Students with a specific learning difficulty

• You are entitled to additional top ups.
• Your printing will not be restricted if you require it, but you will need to top up your virtual balance once it runs out.
• If you have already declared this to the Student Wellbeing and Inclusivity team this will be automatically applied to your account.
