Jobs on campus

Students' Union

The Students’ Union recruit for a large number of student staff roles in a wide range of areas including retail, catering, bars, marketing, reception along with a range of office-based roles such as HR, marketing and finance. SU vacancies are advertised throughout the year.

Event Essex

Event Essex employs conference team leaders and conference assistants. These people are the first point of contact for all conference guests so good customer service and admin skills are required, and good knowledge of campus would be an advantage. Roles are full time from mid-June to mid-September.

Student Ambassadors

Student Ambassadors are current university students, trained to represent the University of Essex across Recruitment, Outreach and Marketing teams’ activities. As a Student Ambassador, you will have the opportunity to work on various events including those on campus, in schools and college and on virtual activities. Student Ambassadors are positive role models of Higher Education, their course, and the University of Essex by providing a welcoming and positive student perspective to students and their guests.

Join a friendly team of students and staff to help students become more involved and connected to their peers at Essex. Becoming a Residents’ Assistant is a valuable opportunity to support students in a paid role which guarantees campus accommodation if you are successful in your application.
