Recording your online attendance

Most of our teaching programmes will be taught in a way that blends in-person classes with a range of online lectures, teaching, learning and collaborative support to deliver a high-quality education.

Online lectures and seminars will be delivered on Zoom. To record your online attendance to mandatory teaching events all you need to do is access the Zoom webinar link on your timetable.

To be recorded as attended for an online Zoom event you must:

  • use the Zoom link in your timetable
  • login to Zoom via your University of Essex Login
  • login no earlier than 15 minutes before the event start and no later than 15 minutes after

If you are unable to attend at the time the teaching event is running you will be marked as absent, however if a recording is available and you view the material later this will be captured as part of your engagement.
