BRIT 2022 Challenge

The University, Essex Sport, and the SU joined forces and took on the BRIT 2022 Challenge - uniting to support young adult mental health.

Brit Challenge will return in 2023, more details of how to apply with be available shortly.

In 2021 everyone at the University worked together to complete the BRIT 2021 challenge raising an amazing £1,700 and submitting an incredible 23,913 total miles.
For our next challenge we'll be aiming to hit a combined donation of £2,022 and go even further than our mile total during the four-week period.

The BRIT challenge is designed so we, as a university work in teams contributing to a larger total. Each week individuals can submit miles achieved by jogging, running, walking, cycling, swimming, rowing, or any other means of self-movement! These will contribute to your team as you go up against other teams internally at Essex. Then all the teams will combine or a total as we go up against other universities around the country!

Anyone can take part and we encourage everyone to join or form a team. Teams can be current students’ clubs or societies, staff departments, alumni, it doesn’t matter. If you can’t find a team you can still take part as we’ll make a ‘best of Essex’ team and you’ll still be able to take part in weekly challenges and contribute to our target.
