Health insurance
Medicash is a health cash plan that provides cash back towards health costs, medical advice and personal accident cover.
The insurance is provided by Medicash Health Benefits Limited.
Cover and benefits
Medicash covers everyday optical and dental costs, complementary therapies, as well as medical advice and personal accident cover. See the benefits table (.pdf) and terms and conditions (.pdf) for more details.
Monthly costs
Payments for solo cover start from £6.95 per month. If you have a partner, you can upgrade to a dual cover plan to include them.
Up to four dependent children to the age of 16 or 19 (if in full-time education) can also be covered on any of the policies at no extra cost.

Joining
To join, simply complete the application form (.pdf) selecting the plan option you require and email it back to Nathan.Moore@medicash.org.
Please quote our Medicash Group reference number when completing the form: GR-MED-4882.
Making a claim
You should keep the receipt for any treatments you pay for, fill in a claim form (.pdf) and send it back to Medicash at the address above. The money will be paid directly into your bank account.
Cancellations and leaving the University
You can cancel the policy at any time.
If you leave the University your cover will automatically end and payroll deductions stopped.
You can however contact Medicash on 0151 702 0265 who can offer continuation with payment being made directly from you.
