Claire Nixon

Biography

As Head of Quality and Development my remit includes academic quality and standards, academic partnerships, and the development of 'new' forms of programme such as apprenticeships. I act as the professional services contact for the QAA and for the TEF. Externally I am a member of the Executive of the UK Council of Validating Universities and a member of a UUK Working group on quality monitoring of TNE. Prior to working at Essex I had a career as a conference organiser working in public and private sector organisations, including the Royal College of General Practitioners and EMAP Communications.

• BA (Hons) Drama and English University of Surrey (1989)
