Reputation and ranking were the things that first drew me to Essex. I felt confident I'd receive brilliant support and teaching (and I did!). Looking back, the best thing about my course was probably the unconditional support and help from my teachers. My modules were fascinating and the academics delivered the content in a way that made it easy to understand.
I learnt so many valuable things during my time at Essex - not just about my subject, which we covered in great depth, but skills which will help me in life, for instance teamwork, time management (especially around exam period!) and the ability to work and study individually. We had presentations back then and I remember we had to work in a team to deliver the best result.
Colchester is a very nice place to live - there's lots going on, and plenty to see and do, especially if you're into history like me!
I'm now back in Vietnam, where I work for Vietnam Airlines as an executive within the Investment Department.
