Following the outrage over Trump's detention of families earlier this year, we will put a spotlight on the UK and question how we treat our own refugees.

While Trump's plans to build a wall on the Mexican border has sparked outrage, the construction of a Calais barrier since 2016 funded by Britain, has gone by with little public scrutiny.

There are allegedly more walls to prevent migration in Europe now than there was in 1989, before the fall of the Berlin Wall.

We’re inviting speakers to talk about their experience of coming to the UK as a refugee. They will tell us what the UK detention system feels like from the inside.

We will also be joined by a representative from the Detained Voices who work to reveal the stories of people held in UK detention centres.

Please join the discussion, everyone is welcome to have their voice heard and free refreshments will be provided.

No need to register, just turn up!
