The Arena

The £12 million Essex Sport Arena is a multi-purpose space, available for sporting events, conferences, exhibitions, trade and craft shows, celebrations, weddings and dance events.

The main arena has 2,076m2 of floor space (60m x 34.6m) and seating for up to 1,655 people. It can be sub-divided into five separate spaces, giving full flexibility to suit your event. On the first floor there is a 75m2 (12.5m x 6m) function room, bar and lounge area, ideal for hosting drinks’ receptions and smaller meetings, and a large glass fronted studio space over-looking the Arena that can be sub-divided in two.

The Arena is set in over 230 acres of beautiful parkland which, for the third year running, has been given a Green Flag Award for one of the best publicly accessible and green spaces in the UK. Nestled within the parkland and still on campus you’ll find the luxury, 4* Wivenhoe House Hotel. Just a 10 minute walk from the Arena it is perfect for business and pleasure alike.

The Essex Sport Arena affords event organisers state of the art sporting and dance facilities with modern, dynamic conference and meeting spaces on the first floor of the building.

The Arenas Main Hall can cater for a multitude of events from elite professional sporting fixtures, through exhibitions and conferences to awards evenings and dance competitions. On site retractable bleacher seating provide seating for 1,655 spectators with additional flat seating available to provide viewing for up to 2,000 guests.

Site visits are welcomed and we have the expertise to help you configure your event to ensure your requirements are met in the most cost effective way possible.
