COVID-19 Guidance

There are no COVID-19 restrictions in the UK, but the University does encourage all staff, students and visitors to respect the following guidance.

Please stay at home if you are unwell.

If you feel unwell, please try to stay at home and reduce contact with others. If you are too unwell to attend classes, you must complete an absence form

Sanitise your hands

Wall-mounted hand gel units are located throughout the academic and administrative buildings at Colchester, Southend and Loughton.

Face coverings are not required

Wearing face coverings remains a personal choice, and disposable face masks are available for those who wish to use them.

Regular COVID testing is not recommended and tests will no longer be provided by the University

If you wish to take a test, you will need to purchase one from a supermarket or pharmacy.

Staff and students are encouraged to stay up to date with COVID vaccinations

Only those who are at increased risk from COVID-19 can book an appointment for a COVID vaccine with the NHS. If you have not had a vaccine and wish to do so, please speak to your GP or attend a walk-in clinic. ColchesterSouthend and Loughton all have local clinics.
