This module is taught by Dr Mary Kennedy a mental health nurse with a wide range of clinical, research and academic experience.
For many years Mary worked in the NHS, leading on service improvement and innovation within clinical practice. She has a long standing interest in dementia and developing services to improve the care for people with dementia and their families.
As a mental health lecturer at the University, Mary leads the development of dementia education for health and social care practitioners. Currently, she is working on the use of storytelling to improve healthcare outcomes and how the arts can be used in dementia care.
