Spend a virtual morning with us to get experience what it might be like to study History at Higher Education level, the kind of courses available, and the experience you would get studying in the Department of History at the University of Essex.

The morning will include an introductory session, as well as topical and interactive sessions with our expert academics so that you can get a feel for what studying will be like and where it can take you. There will also be a chance to find out about employability options and hear from a current student.

This event is open to groups from schools and colleges, as well as individual prospective students.

Planned Programme

Please note that the running order and content of this programme may be tweaked dependent on requests from schools. However, you will be informed of any changes well in advance. If you are wanting a particular subject treated that is not presently covered, could you let us know and we will seek to accommodate you. We are looking to aid students in their studies and our specialists will be giving some quite specific advice about how to refer to particular authorities and debates to impress the examiners.
