The Department of Government at the University of Essex invites applications for a PhD scholarship with Partnership. The successful candidate will work on the project “Explosive violence against civilians in the shadow of international law: causes and consequences” led by Professor Ismene Gizelis and Dr Sara Polo in partnership with Dr Iain Overton, CEO of the NGO Action on Armed Violence (AOAV).

The successful applicant will receive a full PhD scholarship, including full tuition fee discount for three years of study, a stipend payment towards your living costs and Proficio funding towards training, conferences, and travel.
