Nan did her M.A in Interpreting and Translation Studies in the School of Interpreting and Translation Studies, and did her PhD in Psycholinguistics in the National Key Research Centre of China (Bilingual Cognition and Education Lab -, both at Guangdong University of Foreign Studies. She has worked as a freelance conference interpreter and translator between Chinese and English serving both public and private sector clients, including the United Nations, Canadian Consulate General Guangzhou, British Consulate General Guangzhou, Canadian Border Service Agency, World Wildlife Fund (WWF), Ministry of Education of China, Beyond Medical, HP etc and many universities in China, UK and European countries.
