Biography

The take-away message - I'm passionate about encouraging students and helping them to thrive. As a Careers Information Coordinator at the University of Essex, I'm passionate about providing up-to-date and relevant careers related information to students. Typically, I'm responsible for providing both one-to-one and group-based support to students. In addition to this, I also communicate Careers Services events throughout the University of Essex. As a related side-project I am a career mentor at Essex and support both undergraduate and postgraduate students in developing career plans and actualizing their potential. My history of supporting students stretches back to 2008 when I began my PhD in Psychology. While I progressed on my PhD, I also worked as a Graduate Laboratory Assistant. As part of this role I had the pleasure to support psychology students both in class and through marking their essays and lab reports.
