Biography

Lijie is a lecturer at University of Essex. Before joining Essex, she taught at University of Southampton, where she obtained her PhD with the thesis entitled "Third Parties' Protection in Carriage of Goods by Sea". She obtained her LLB in Maritime Law from Dalian Maritime University. During the last year of LLB, she studied English common law and maritime law at University of Southampton, where she subsequently obtained LLM in Maritime Law. Lijie's main research interests include contract law, international commercial sales, carriage of goods by sea, marine insurance, admiralty law and international commercial arbitration.
