Neal joined Essex in August 2016 as Public Engagement and Communications Officer for the ESRC Business and Local Government Data Research Centre.
He then joined Essex Business School in 2017 as Marketing and Recruitment Officer and then Senior Marketing and Recruitment Officer. He is currently Head of EBS Marketing (Maternity cover).
Neal sits on the Senior Management Team for Essex Business School and for the University's Marketing and Student Recruitment Team and a key part of his role is ensuring that the marketing strategy and activity for Essex Business School complements the University's broader approach.
In practice, this means that Neal's team is responsible for: EBS publications, webpages and social media; international travel to recruit for Essex Business School; building links with partner institutions around the world; delivering Essex Business School's contribution to Open Days and Applicant Days; and conversion. The team also works with the University's centralised Communications team to promote the work of the School to external stakeholders.
