 Eleni Nisioti

I graduated from the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in 2017, where my major was Electronics and Computers and my diploma thesis' title Automated Data Scientist. I am currently pursuing a PhD in the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering in the University of Essex, where my research area comprises communication networks and reinforcement learning. I am currently researching on making communication networks smart and adaptive by exploiting reinforcement learning and embedding it in the network's functionality. Main goals of learning are reducing the energy consumption of a sensor network, finding optimal medium access control strategies and leveraging optimal behaviors to make the problem of online, multiagent optimization of real-life networks tractable.
