Before coming to Essex, I spent over 25 years in the film and TV industries, working in TV production, commercials and corporate communications.
I've worked as a writer, creative producer, director and editor, on projects across the UK and in Ireland, Poland, Ukraine, Japan and Pakistan.
My credits include award-winning TV programmes (Peep Show, Brasseye Special), documentary films, commercials and brand communications.
I trained in video strategy with Tubular Insights, the market leaders, and ran the video side of the UK's largest grassroots campaigning charity, Friends of the Earth. As Senior Producer in two top 30 agencies, I advised a range of clients - from FTSE100 companies to start-ups - on their approach to video.
I have experience as a youth mentor - leading projects in left-behind communities - and have trained political activists, sales teams, young entrepreneurs and shop floor personnel in video production.
I have also worked as a film and music journalist and photographer.
