Biography

Grigorios is computer vision researcher with a computer science background in image analysis and AI working with the ESRC Human Rights, Big Data and Technology (HRBDT) Project, housed at Essex University's Human Rights Centre. His current research focuses on the development and application of methods for interpreting and analysing complex imagery in order to automate the visual recognition of various human rights violations. Grigorios has experience on a variety of computer vision-related topics, from image classification and image interpretation to scene understanding and big data, while his research has appeared in the MIT Technology Review and E&T Magazine.
