Thesis

Robots and Employment in Great Britain

In light of recent innovation advances, the potential impacts of automation are being questioned once more. A growing literature examines the impact of new technologies on labor market outcomes, without reaching any consensus on the matter both theoretically and empirically. The first chapter of the thesis aims to shed some light on this debate. We rely on industrial robots, one of the leading automation technology in the last two decades and focus on Great Britain.
