Profile
Biography
Dr. Amir Homayounfard is a lecturer in service and strategic marketing; and a visiting fellow at the Haas School of Business, University of California Berkeley, US. He is also acting as the MBA Deputy Director for the Essex MBA Programme. His research is focused on service research, marketing strategy and big data analytics, customer relationship management, and exploring the division of value in business relationships. These also include studying sustainable competitive advantage, data analytics, resource trade-offs, and value delivery (creation, appropriation, capture & migration). His industry background comes from the service industry, particularly working with technology suppliers. He has been involved in multiple projects with technology suppliers in the UK service sector. These include the design and development of services, marketing strategy, go-to-market strategy, new business models (incl. AI applications), customer relationship management (CRM), and customer lifetime value (CLV). Amir is open to supervising Ph.D. applicants based on his research interest stated below.
