Profile

Biography

Before coming to Essex in 2016, Caroline taught English as a Foreign Language for 7 years in both the UK and Slovakia. She also worked as a teacher trainer in the Further Education sector for 5 years. She currently teaches across a number of modules in Academic Skills and EAP (English for Academic Purposes), and leads on EBS-related academic English support modules at Postgraduate level. Caroline has a particular interest in working with mature students. Following collaboration with the School of Health and Social Care, she recently jointly presented a conference paper on the advantages of using collaborative teaching approaches when working with non-traditional students.
