Biography

Clare Hammerton is a Connected Communities Research Officer at the Department of Government. She joins the Connected Communities Project and the ARISE team with over 10 years’ experience working in senior roles in adult social care and the public sector, having led transformation projects and the development of innovative person-centred services for family carers, people with learning disabilities and autism. Clare assists with project impact evaluation and publications, and handles external engagement and outreach, social media, web content, and communications. Clare is pursuing her doctoral degree at the University of Essex Human Rights Centre, focusing on the process and practice of mainstreaming Human Rights (specifically Sexual Rights) through International Development.
