Biography

As a Careers Consultant within Student Development, I support all students to gain valuable employability skills. I design and deliver career development learning within the curriculum (mainly across the Faculty of Science and Health), whilst working with a range of colleagues from across the team and the wider faculty. I meet students and graduates 1-2-1 to offer advice and guidance on topics such as career decisions, further study, job hunting and securing work, and work closely with employers and external stakeholders. After completing my BSc Psychology degree from Teesside University, I worked for training providers in the East of England helping to improve the career prospects of people in the area before joining the University in October 2014 where I worked on placements and work-based learning.

Qualifications

  • Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (2017)

  • BSc Psychology Teesside University (2009)
